The provider explicitly points out that the data transfer on the Internet  (e.g. for communication by e-mail) can have security gaps  and cannot be seamlessly protected from access by third parties.

Personal Data
You can visit our website without providing personal data. Both the home page (Home) with the choice of the manufacturer as well as the selection list of the product names including information on the intellectual property rights (patents, trademarks and design) in list form do not contain any cookies relevant to data protection or other analysis tools that could save or use your data. We are thereby meeting the requirements in accordance with 35 US Code 287 (Virtual Marking) in terms of data protection. You, as the user of our website, therefore do not have to make any decisions on differing or hard-to-follow cookie settings if you only want to make a legal status query or a query on product-related intellectual property rights. At the same time, we are meeting the standards of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) because no data are collected or saved from you during the legal status query of the product-related intellectual property rights. You only have to explicitly approve the data protection guidelines when using the contact form because only then can data be properly collected and saved. We can assure you that, under no circumstances, will any data regarding your IP address or comparable ID numbers (neither abbreviated nor unabbreviated) will be saved from your server nor tracked, used or actively passed on by us in any other form. If we use cookies on the sub-pages, explicit reference is made to an info box, which queries you agreement in each case. Comment Functions
We collect personal data as part of the publication of content of a comment on an article or contribution only in the scope as they are communicated by you. When publishing a comment, the e-mail address you indicate is saved but not published. Your name is published if you have not written under a pseudonym.

Data Protection Statement for the Web Analysis Service Google Analytics

Data Protection Statement for Commissioned Patent Searches and Patent Monitoring
If a contractual relationship should be constituted between you and us regarding a patent search or patent monitoring, we will set up an account for you with the Questel company in France for the patient information platform “Orbit Intelligence.” To do this, the input of the following data by us on the Questel server is required: Your first name, last name and e-mail address. During the use of “Orbit Intelligence,” comments and ratings of patents formulated by you can be assigned to your profile through your account. Questel, in turn, is obligated to keep the data confidential and not make it accessible to any third parties.
